Harvest Moon - 9/27/2026

Last minute's notice was not too late to make it outside and take some pictures. I had just received a new Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm DX VR (this model has the Auto Focus and Image Stabilization) so I was dying to get some photos. I thought it would be a good opportunity to try stacking the photos in photoshop and seeing what could come out. I was happy to see the outcome and the great detail the image was able to capture. I was especially surprised because it was a little cloudy and all these photos were through a thin layer of clouds which I thought would block out the detail. However the stacking technique must’ve helped. I’ll admit, the final image looks a little fuzzy,.. But with clearer skies, less humidity, and a little bit more time I should be able to get a better one next time.

This was a fun project that came up out of nowhere, and it taught me that no matter how late (or early in the morning) there’s always an opportunity to step away from the entropy and pause underneath the full-moon glow.
